The week-long celebrations concluded with the Anand Karaj ceremony at the residence of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal in Lutyens’ Delhi. The marriage of Rhea Badal and Martand Singh has connected Punjab’s Badal family with Jammu’s historic Dogra royal family.

The wedding reception was hosted at the private residence of Jai Inder Kaur, daughter of former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, in Patiala. Heirs of several prominent royal families were seen attending the event in traditional royal attire.

Apart from members of Jammu’s Dogra family, the gathering included Pratibha Singh of Himachal Pradesh’s Rampur Bushahr family, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia from the Gwalior Scindia family, and members of the Patiala royal family.

Angad Singh, grandson of Captain Amarinder Singh, is married to Aparajita, daughter of Pratibha Singh of Himachal Pradesh. Captain Amarinder Singh’s grandson Nirvan Singh is married to Mriganka, granddaughter of Dr. Karan Singh.

In another family connection, Vikramaditya Singh, son of Dr. Karan Singh, is married to Chitrangada Raje, daughter of the late Madhavrao Scindia of Gwalior.
