Commonwealth Games 2026: A student of CT University has delivered an impressive performance at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship held in Winnipeg, Canada, winning four gold medals in the Junior 76 kg category and setting three records.

Sneha Ghadami’s performance was based on strength, discipline and years of dedicated training. The championship was held from September 17 to September 27.

Wins Gold With a Total Lift of 500 Kilograms

Sneha, who is from West Bengal and is a second-year BA student, won gold medals in all three individual categories — squat, bench press and deadlift. She then added the overall gold medal with an impressive total lift of 500 kilograms.

She lifted 190 kilograms in the squat, 120 kilograms in the bench press and 190 kilograms in the deadlift. All three performances earned her new championship records.

Winning four gold medals marks a significant international achievement for the young lifter and represents a notable accomplishment for the country.

Sneha Says She Will Work Harder in the Future

During a conversation, Sneha said the championship provided her with valuable competition experience and helped her understand the conditions involved in performing at the international level.

She said competing at this level gave her valuable experience and helped her learn how to handle the pressure of an international championship.

“I hope this experience will help me perform even better in future tournaments,” Sneha said.
