US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Begin Three-Day India Visit Today
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will begin a three-day visit to India on Tuesday. During the visit, India and the United States will discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties in energy, trade, investment, defence and key technologies. The two sides will also exchange views on the crisis in West Asia.
This will be Rubio’s second visit to India this year. The visit comes at a time when tensions have persisted in relations between the two countries. During his previous visit to India in May, Rubio held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. He also participated in a meeting of foreign ministers from Quad countries.
