PM Modi and Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov Hold Talks in Bishkek
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov are holding talks in Bishkek. Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi held a bilateral meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Bishkek. The two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral ties and reviewed recent developments in the West Asia region.
Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. He also underlined the need for continued efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region and to safeguard freedom of navigation and commerce.
PM Modi Meets Armenian Prime Minister
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi met Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Bishkek. The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various areas, including defence, economic, pharma, science and technology, culture and education.
They also exchanged views on regional and global developments, including the situation in West Asia.
PM Modi Interacts With Indian Community
The Prime Minister had a warm interaction with members of the Indian community in Kazakhstan’s capital. Mr Modi also paid floral tribute at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial in Bishkek.
Tomorrow, Prime Minister Modi will address the 26th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Bishkek.
