Akali Leader Gurpreet Singh Maksudra joins Congress with supporters

Doraha, April 8 (Amrish Anand):Prominent Shiromani Akali leader S.Gurpreet Singh Maksudra, who had been serving as the Parchar Secretary of the Shiromani Akali Dal SC Cell for the past 30 years, joined the Congress party along with his supporters here.On the occasion, former MLA from Payal and President of the District Congress Committee, Khanna, S.Lakhvir Singh Lakha, along with Payal Coordinator Chairman S.Bant Singh Doburji, S.Malkiat Singh Goga, S.Rajvir Singh Rubal,S.Mandeep Mangat, Mr.Vinit Ashat,S.Rajinder Gahir,S.Ram Parkash Pappu,extended a warm welcome to him.Addressing the gathering, Lakha said that leaders from various parties were continuously joining the Congress, impressed by its pro-people policies and growing popularity.
