DSP reviews NDPS cases, stresses dismantling of drug supply chain

Doraha, March 26(Amrish Anand):Under the directions of SSP Khanna Dr Darpan Kaur Ahluwalia, DSP (H) Pritpal Singh Sandhu, Khanna, held a special meeting with head munshis of all police stations in the district to review investigations under the NDPS Act and streamline enforcement measures.During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on tracing the backward and forward linkages of persons arrested in drug-related cases. The officer emphasised that every NDPS case must be thoroughly investigated to identify the entire network involved in narcotics trafficking.He directed officials to conduct in-depth probes into the antecedents and connections of the accused so as to dismantle the complete drug supply chain.A review of ongoing cases was also undertaken, with instructions to expedite investigations and enhance their effectiveness through better coordination and sustained follow-up.Reiterating a zero-tolerance stance against drug trafficking, the DSP said the police were committed to bringing all those involved in the illegal trade to justice.
