NSS UNIT OF GPC CELEBRATES THE AZADI KA AMRIT MAHAUTSAV

Mandi Gobindgarh,As per the directions of Youth affairs and Sports Ministry, Govt of India, NSS co-ordinator,Panjab University,Chandigarh and under the able leadership of college Principal Dr.Neena Seth Pajni,the college NSS unit observe the Azadi ka Amrit Mahautsav programme from 13 to 18 August at campus.By celebrating the 75th Independence day, students with great enthusiasm participated in various activities like Singing, poster making, poem recitation, etc.On 13th August 13, 2022,NSS and NCC students taken out a awareness rally under “Ghar Ghar Tiranga”drive at village Alour.An extension lecture was also organized at campus on theme“Indian Freedom Struggle”. Ludhiana,College of Animal Biotechnology along with the Directorate of Extension Education,Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) organized a workshop on“Pig diseases and health management”to create awareness among progressive pig farmers of Punjab.Dr.Yashpal Singh Malik, Dean,College of Animal Biotechnology, Ludhiana highlighted the purpose behind organizing such interactive workshop for the pig farmers of the state.Lectures were delivered by Dr. Malik, Drs.Satparkash Singh, Inderpal Kaur, Anuradha Sharma and Parminder Kaur on “Emerging Health Issues in Pigs”. Addressing the teachers and students,Dr Pajni said that every year,World Nature Conservation Day is observed on July 28 to raise awareness regarding the protection of nature and its resources.The world is facing a lot of issues related to nature and its conservation.The challenges are based on climate change, urbanization,pollution,deforestation,and damage to the rich flora and fauna.She also encouraged the students to conserve the soil,water,air and energy resources.<br>

An Amezing art camp held in the lap of nature without the restriction of adverse weather conditions and huge diatance from city life.This art camp was orgnized by Art affina(Punjab) and Punjab kala sang (Punjab) in the beautiful village of Rakhcham and chitkul (The last village of India ).This art camp was started from 27June in Rakhcham village and ended in Chittkul village on 30 June.Chittkul village is almost 2 km away from indo tibetian border. In this camp 3 renowed artist Sikander Singh (chandigarh),NishikantPalande(Mumbai),Achintya Hazra(Culcutta)given valuable guidence and live spot landscape demonstrations to all 23 participants with oil and acrylic paints .<br>
