Fake Agent Tarn Shukla from Patiala Deceives Sanatanis, Cheats Them of Three Lakh Rupees Sanatanis Demand FIR Against Him from Patiala Police

Patiala: Fake agent Tarn Shukla, a resident of Patiala, recently posted on Facebook about organizing a religious pilgrimage to Shri Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, and other sacred places. According to his post, any devotee interested in joining the pilgrimage could do so by paying ₹7,100. He assured that proper accommodations and quality meals would be arranged for the pilgrims and that the journey would be conducted using a Volvo bus.Seeing this poster, many Sanatani families contacted Tarn Shukla over the phone and paid him ₹7,100 per person for the religious tour. On the night of February 8, 2025, around 10 PM, Tarn Shukla, along with a bus full of pilgrims (bus number UP 70 KT 2215, Sandhu Motors), departed from near Shri Hanuman Mandir, Anand Nagar, Gali No. 9, Patiala, supposedly heading towards Shri Ayodhya Dham. However, instead of taking them to Ayodhya, he diverted the pilgrims to Prayagraj, where no accommodation or food arrangements were made for them, contrary to his promises. Later, he took the pilgrims to Kashi Vishwanath, where once again, there were no proper lodging or meal arrangements. As the pilgrims faced extreme difficulties, they insisted on returning to Patiala and pressured Tarn Shukla to end the trip midway. Instead of cooperating, he started misbehaving with them. Distressed by his actions, the pilgrims filed a complaint with the local police, at which point Tarn Shukla absconded with their total payment of ₹3 lakh, leaving them stranded in dire conditions. The abandoned pilgrims somehow arranged their return and reached Patiala in a miserable state at midnight. Now, the affected Sanatani Hindus have demanded strict legal action against Tarn Shukla from Patiala Police for deceiving them, playing with their religious sentiments, issuing threats, and fleeing with their hard-earned money. Additionally, reports suggest that he also failed to fully pay the owners of the rented bus, cheating them as well. The victims urge authorities to register a case against Tarn Shukla and take strict legal action to ensure that no other fake agent can exploit Sanatani Hindus' faith in the future.
