National Unity Day Was Observed at GCG Malerkotla.

Malerkotla Oct 31: Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr Anila Sultana ji, the Red Ribbon Club, Govt College for Girls, Malerkotla observed National Unity Day by organizing Seminar & Poster Making Competition. Nodal Officer Prof. Kamal Kishore spoke on the life and contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. Being the first Deputy Prime Minister & Home Minister of India, he was the main figure in the integration of the Princely States. He was given the title of Sardar by Mahatma Gandhi Ji for his leadership in different Satyagrahas during the freedom movement. Dr. Mohd Shakeel also spoke on the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He spoke on the economic exploitation of India by the Britishers. Principal Dr. Anila Sultana, while delivering the presidential address, said that Unity and Integrity is quite essential for the development of any Nation and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel did pretty well in this field being the first home minister of India. Prof. Paramjit Kaur also spoke on his political ideology and conducted the Oath of Unity & Integrity. He prefers a vote of thanks. A Poster Making Competition was organised on this occasion in which Muskan, Gagandeep Kaur and Dilpreet Kaur won first, second and third positions respectively.
