Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Former Judicial Officer’s Plea Seeking Early Hearing in Allahabad High Court

The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to hear a petition filed by a former judicial officer seeking an early hearing of her application pending before the Allahabad High Court. The court observed that everyone has an equal right to access justice.
Supreme Court Refuses to Intervene
A bench comprising Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohana told the counsel appearing for the petitioner that everyone has an equal right to access justice, regardless of their position.
The bench said, “Whether a person is a bus conductor or a secretary of the state, everyone has an equal right to access justice.”
Former Judicial Officer Challenged Dismissal
The former judicial officer has challenged her dismissal from service before the Allahabad High Court. Her plea before the Supreme Court sought an early hearing of the application pending before the High Court.
