Street Play at Red Cross Bhawan Raises Awareness Among Youth Against Drug Abuse

Jalandhar, April 1 (Amrish Anand): In an effort to strengthen the ongoing campaign against drug abuse, the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Nasha Mukti Morcha, organized a street play at Red Cross Bhawan under the “Yudh Nashian Virudh” initiative. The primary objective of the programme was to sensitize the youth about the harmful effects of drugs.During the event, DCP (Investigation) S.Manpreet Singh Dhillon, ADCP (Headquarters) S.Sukhwinder Singh, ACP (NDPS) Sanjay Chahal, Inspector Parminder Kaur, Sub-Inspector Raghveer Singh and Head Constable Jyoti Sharma, along with other officials, were present.Representatives from the Nasha Mukti Morcha, including Atin Agnihotri, Ranjit and Shanty Bhagat, also attended the programme. Rohit Kumar from Humsafar NGO and Rakesh Kumar from the Red Cross were also present on the occasion.Through the street play, the youth were made aware of the grave consequences of drug abuse and were encouraged to stay away from this menace. The officials emphasized that the fight against drugs can only be won through collective efforts of society.They further urged the youth to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle and contribute actively towards building a drug-free society.
