The Role of Sikh Missionary Colleges in Gurmat Preaching Highlighted in Ludhiana

On February 28, 2025, "Gurmat Gyan Missionary College" organized a joint seminar of missionary colleges at Baba Gurmukh Singh Hall, Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana. This seminar was collectively conducted by "Sikh Missionary College, Ludhiana," "Gurmat Gyan Missionary College, Ludhiana," and "Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Gurmat Missionary College, Ropar."

The program commenced with Rana Inderjit Singh welcoming the missionary scholars with "Ji Aayan Nu" (a warm welcome), while the stage was conducted by Sukhwinder Singh Dadehar.

Sikh Rehat Maryada – The Key to Panthic Unity

Dr. Gurmel Singh from "Shaheed Sikh Missionary College, Amritsar," presented a lecture on "The Protection of Sikh Rehat Maryada in Historical Gurdwaras." He emphasized that Sikh Rehat Maryada is the key to Panthic unity and that Gurdwaras serve as central institutions for Sikhs.

Seva – The Pillar of Sikhism

Bhai Nachhatar Singh from "Sikh Missionary College, Ludhiana," shared his insights on "The Vast Concept of Seva in Gurbani and Sikh History." He highlighted the importance of Seva (selfless service) as a core principle of Sikhism.

Denouncement of Rituals in Bhagat Bani

Principal Baljeet Singh from "Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Gurmat Missionary College, Ropar," delivered a lecture on "Denouncement of Rituals and Strengthening of Gurmat in Bhagat Bani." He explained how the Bhagats (devotional poets) enlightened the masses against Brahmanism and the caste system.

Role of Missionary Colleges in Gurmat Preaching

Principal Gurbachan Singh from "Gurmat Gyan Missionary College" gave a lecture on "The Role of Missionary Colleges in Gurmat Preaching." He shed light on the sacrifices made by Sikh missionaries for the independence of Gurdwaras and the eradication of idol worship.

Responsibilities of Sikh Missionaries – Sarbjit Singh Dhunda

In conclusion, Sarbjit Singh Dhunda emphasized the significance of Gurmat preaching, stating that Guru Sahib entrusted Sikh missionaries with the responsibility of spreading true Gurmat teachings.
