Awareness Program on AIDS and HIV Organized at Guru Nanak National College Doraha

Doraha: February 18 (Amrish Anand) Today at Guru Nanak National College, Doraha, a street play was organized under the awareness campaign on AIDS and HIV run by the Punjab State AIDS Control Society. This event was conducted by the college's Red Ribbon Club and NSS, in collaboration with CHC Payal.Providing details about the event, College Principal Dr. Sarvjeet Kaur Brar stated that the awareness activity was carried out under the leadership of Dean of Student Activities, Dr. Lovleen Bains. A team led by Civil Surgeon Dr. Pradeep Mohindra and SMO Payal Dr. Harvinder Singh from CHC Payal presented a street play to raise awareness among college students about AIDS.Following the play, Homeopathy Dispenser Mr. Jaswinder Singh provided detailed information to students regarding the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures against AIDS and HIV.On this occasion, the college honored the street play team and the entire health department team with commemorative tokens. The event was hosted by Dr. Lovleen Bains.Among those present were Counselor Mrs. Amanpreet Kaur, Link Worker Mrs. Sukhwinder Kaur, MLT Mr. Shekhar, Professor Ranjit Kaur, Professor Amandeep Cheema, Professor Nidhi Swaroop, Professor Deepali, Professor Deepika, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Professor Sandeep Singh Hundal, Mr. Kulwant Singh, Mr. Jarnail Singh, and Mr. Gurpreet Singh (Lab).For the successful organization of this activity, the college management committee officials, members, and Principal Dr. Sarvjeet Kaur Brar congratulated the faculty members and students involved.
