State President Rajinder Pal Anand Honored Bar Council Chairman Shri Rakesh Gupta

Patiala: The newly appointed Chairman of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Advocate Shri Rakesh Gupta, a renowned lawyer from Patiala, continues to receive widespread recognition and honors. Every day, various organizations are felicitating him for his appointment.Today, during the oath-taking ceremony at the Law Bhawan in Chandigarh, Shri Rajinder Pal Anand—former DSP Advocate, State President of Punjab Police Family Welfare Association Punjab ,National Senior Vice President of All India Anti-Terrorist Anti-Crime Front, National Senior Vice President of Shri Hindu Takht Kali Mata Mandir Patiala, and Senior Vice President of Khatri Mahasabha Punjab—honored Shri Rakesh Gupta by presenting him with a bouquet of flowers on behalf of their organizations and conveyed their best wishes.On the occasion, Advocate Shri Rajinder Pal Anand stated that Shri Rakesh Gupta’s appointment as Chairman of the Bar Council has elevated the pride of the entire legal fraternity of Patiala. He mentioned that Shri Rakesh Gupta has previously served as the Chairman of the Bar Council as well. Patiala residents are extremely proud of him, as he has also served as the President of the Patiala Bar Association seven times.Under Shri Rakesh Gupta’s leadership, significant work has been carried out for the welfare of the legal community in Patiala. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Rajiv Gandhi National Law University in Patiala. In 2013, he was earlier elected as the Chairman of the Punjab and Haryana Bar Council. During his tenure, a five-year integrated law course was introduced at the 150-year-old Government Mohindra College in Patiala, and he also laid the foundation stone of the Law Bhawan in the holy city of Shri Amritsar Sahib.From 2001 to 2007, he served as the President of the Patiala Bar Association and initiated the construction of the Yadvindra Complex, which houses chambers for 400 lawyers in the Patiala District Court. Later, he laid the foundation stone of the Mahatma Gandhi Complex in the Patiala Court Complex. As a Bar Council member, he has made significant contributions to the development of legal infrastructure and initiated chamber complexes in Panipat, Samana, Nabha, Khamanon and Rajpura.Now, with his reappointment as Chairman of the Bar Council, it is expected that the ongoing challenges faced by the legal fraternity will be addressed promptly.Today’s oath-taking ceremony was attended by many distinguished personalities, including Advocate General of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Sardar Maninderjit Singh Bedi, who gave his full support and best wishes to the newly appointed Chairman, Advocate Shri Rakesh Gupta.
