Strong Condemnation by Master Cadre Union Punjab Against Suspension Order of School Head by Punjab Government’s School Education Department

Doraha, May 6 (Amrish Anand):In a joint press release issued by Jagjeet Singh Sahnawal, State Vice President of Master Cadre Union Punjab, Gurpreet Singh Doraha, District Press Secretary Ludhiana, and Naveen Kapila, Block President Doraha, it was stated that the suspension of Gurpartap Singh, Lecturer-cum-Incharge, SSSS Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran, by the Punjab Government’s School Education Department is strongly condemned by the union. They expressed concern that under the ongoing educational reforms, non-academic tasks in schools are increasing, placing an additional burden on teachers. The responsibility for organizing such programs is creating mental pressure on school heads and staff. In cases of any shortcomings, the school heads are unfairly held accountable, and harsh orders like suspensions are issued. They pointed out that during such programs, senior officials instruct students to undertake activities under the "Business Blaster" initiative, where students prepare snacks themselves and set up stalls. Later, these activities were misrepresented, and without any proper investigation, the Education Department issued suspension orders against the school head, which is highly condemnable.Leaders of the Master Cadre Union from Ludhiana district and block units, including District Vice-President Rajwinder Singh, District Senior vice President Navdeep Singh, District Finance Secretary Swarn Singh, District Advisor Sukhwant Singh, District Press Secretary (Urban) Manoj Kumar, District Unit Member Paramjit Singh, Block Presidents Naveen Kapila, Prabhjot Singh, Harjinder Singh Khanna, District Committee Members Navdeep Pathak, Sukhwinder Singh, Raj Kumar, Harpreet Singh Rampur, Mandeep Singh, Ashish Kumar, Damanpreet Singh, Kulveer Singh, Uma Dev, Sarbjit Singh, Randeep Singh, and others, strongly opposed the suspension order. They demanded the immediate revocation of the suspension order against the school in-charge and appealed to the entire teaching community to unite and protest against such arbitrary orders.
