May 28 Doraha (Amrish Anand): Alongside academic excellence, Oxford Senior School, a premier educational institution, also encourages excellence in sports. Recently, under-17 and under-19 boys' cricket matches were organized at the school. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of cricket coach Mr. Gagandeep Singh, the students participated enthusiastically in these tournaments.At the inauguration of the matches, school principal Mr. Vijay Kapur inspired the students by emphasizing that sports are an essential part of life. He stated that participation in sports from the school level helps students progress to national and international platforms, where they can make a name for themselves and bring glory to the nation.In these tournaments, the under-19 team players — Sanjeev, Sahibnoor Singh, Gursewak Singh, Mumtaz Ali, Dikshit, Mankaran Singh,Harnoor Singh,Karanjot Singh, Agamjot Singh, Gursaheb Singh, and Sahijjot Singh — emerged victorious.To encourage the winning students, the school’s Executive President, Mr. Kiranpreet Singh Dhaliwal,honored them with medals and certificates. While congratulating the winners and their parents, he said that it is under the guidance of dedicated teachers that students are showcasing their talents and bringing glory to the school. He also assured that the school is committed to providing all necessary facilities for the students' growth and development.
