Vaisakhi Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at Shakti Public Senior Secondary School, Doraha

Doraha, April 15:The sacred festival of Vaisakhi was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor at Shakti Public Senior Secondary School, Doraha. In Sikhism, Vaisakhi is observed both as the foundation day of the Khalsa Panth and as the beginning of the agricultural new year.The program began with a recitation of Gurbani, followed by a series of vibrant performances by students. From nursery to senior classes, children showcased the richness of Punjabi culture through Giddha, Bhangra, folk songs, poetry recitation, and skits.Special attractions included the titles of “Best Punjaban” and “Best Punjabi,” which were awarded during the event. The school's Principal, Mr. Jatinder Sharma, and Vice Principal, Mr. Neeraj Sharma, praised the students, saying that such events help instill love and pride for one's cultural roots. They also extended warm Vaisakhi greetings to all the students.At the end of the celebration, sweets (jalebis) were distributed to everyone. The program concluded with the National Anthem. On this occasion, Saraswati School’s Principal, Madam Asha, was also present, along with faculty members Smt. Suman Sharma, Kamlesh Sharma, Seema Rani, Inderpal Kaur, Seema Kapoor, Prabhjot Kaur, Simran Kaur, Rajiv Vaid, Pradeep Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Madhu Bala, Hardeep Kaur, Neha, and Jyoti.
