Entrepreneurial Skill Development Program Organized at Guru Nanak National College, Doraha

Doraha: The Department of Commerce and Business Administration at Guru Nanak National College, Doraha, in collaboration with the Career Guidance and Counseling Cell, organized an Entrepreneurial Skill Development Program. Under the able guidance of Prof. Ranjit Kaur and Prof. Amandeep Kaur Cheema, students of B.Com, BBA, and M.Com actively participated in the event.As part of the program, students set up stalls showcasing food items, fashion accessories, and artistic products, collectively named ‘Urban Haat’. Additionally, a ‘Game Zone’ was established for entertainment, where students enjoyed one-minute games and traditional heritage games.The primary objective of this activity was to instill entrepreneurial qualities, educate students about product marketing, and familiarize them with the risks associated with business ventures. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Sarvjit Kaur Brar, Principal of the College, through a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The competition was judged by Dr. Nirlep Kaur, Dr. Lovleen Bains, and Prof. Deepika.Several stalls were set up, including Shoot & Snack, The Bread Basket, Delicate Delights, Friends Zone, Food Paradise, Magic Hands, The Selfie Point, The Fun Zone, and Wake-Up Call, which were thoroughly enjoyed by both students and faculty.In the competition, the Friends Zone team (Navneet Kaur, Sakshi, Manmeet Kaur, Manmeet Kaur, and Harleen Kaur) secured first place. The Magic Hands team (Jasdeep Kaur, Dilsheen Kaur, Navneet Kaur) and Shoot & Snack team (Tanish, Manu, Saksham, Hardik, Jasmeelan) jointly secured second place. The Fun Zone team (Prabhjot Kaur, Simran, Amanpreet Kaur, Mahik, Simran Kaur) and Food Paradise team (Harsh Kumar Sharma, Harnur Singh, Pavandeep Singh Diol, Navneet Kaur, Sukhpreet Kaur) jointly secured third place. Additionally, the Bread Basket team (Sukhmanveer Kaur, Gurleen Kaur, Harshpreet Kaur, Mahikpreet Kaur) and Delicate Delights team (Khushi and Navjot Kaur) received appreciation awards.The successful execution of this program was made possible with the dedicated support of Prof. Jagrup Singh, Prof. Deepali, Prof. Deepika, Prof. Gurjinder Kaur, Prof. Gurpreet Kaur, Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Hina Rani, Prof. Harpreet Kaur Kahlon, Prof. Ramneet Kaur, and Prof. Jagdeep Kaur.For the successful organization of this event, the College Management Committee officials, members, and Principal Dr. Sarvjit Kaur Brar extended their congratulations to the faculty members and students involved.
