Demand Letter Submitted to DC Patiala for Direct Access (Corridor) to Shaheed-e-Azam Shri Sukhdev Thapar Ji’s Memorial – Advocate Rajinder Pal Anand, Senior Vice President, Khatri Maha Sabha punjab

Patiala: Today, Shri Rajinder Pal Anand, former DSP and Advocate, Senior Vice President of Khatri Maha Sabha Punjab, issued a statement emphasizing the long-pending demand for a direct route (corridor) from Chaura Bazaar, Ludhiana, to the Shaheed-e-Azam Shri Sukhdev Thapar Ji Memorial. Shri Sukhdev Thapar Ji, a great martyr, was born in the Naughara locality of Ludhiana and is a proud heritage of the Khatri community. Despite multiple requests, previous governments did not pay much attention to this demand.To push for its fulfillment, demand letters were submitted today at the offices of Deputy Commissioners across Punjab by Khatri Maha Sabha Punjab. In this context, a delegation led by Shri Rajinder Pal Anand, former DSP, Advocate, and Senior Vice President of Khatri Maha Sabha Punjab, personally submitted a demand letter to the Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Patiala.Through this memorandum, Khatri Maha Sabha Punjab has urged Honorable Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann Ji to approve the direct corridor to the Shaheed-e-Azam Shri Sukhdev Thapar Memorial before March 23, 2025, the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, who embraced the gallows with a smile for India's independence. The Khatri community, which comprises approximately 35 lakh people in Punjab, strongly demands that this long-overdue corridor be completed at the earliest.The memorandum also requests Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, who is highly respected by Punjabis and the Khatri community, to personally inaugurate the corridor in honor of these great martyrs.During the submission of the demand letter, Shri Rajinder Pal Anand was accompanied by prominent members including Shri Ajay Kumar, Shri Deepak Vashisht, Shri Abhay Kumar Goel, Shri Rajneesh Singla, Shri Bikram Bhalla, and Shri Swatantraj Pasi.
