Deadly Attack on Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj (Mahamandaleshwar), Head of Shri Hindu Takht Kali Mata Mandir, Patiala by Prasad Mafia is Highly Condemnable and Punishable – Advocate Rajinder Pal Anand

March 22, Patiala (Amrish Anand) – Today, Shri Rajinder Pal Anand, former DSP, Advocate, National Senior Vice President of Shri Hindu Takht Kali Mata Mandir, Patiala, National Senior vice President of All India Anti-Terrorist Anti-Crime Front, and Senior Vice President of Khatri Maha Sabha Punjab, issued a statement condemning the deadly attack on Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj (Mahamandaleshwar) of Juna Akhara. The attack was carried out by the Prasad Mafia group, which sells substandard and unauthorized prasad around the temple. The attack was an act of retaliation for Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj raising his voice against them. This act is highly condemnable and punishable.Shri Rajinder Pal Anand further stated that Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj had decided to go on a hunger strike to demand the cleanliness, repair, and construction of the corridor related to Shri Kali Mata Mandir. Yesterday, a meeting was held in the hall of Kali Mata Mandir, where all Hindu organizations participated. The meeting was also attended by the honorable DC and SSP of Patiala, who listened to the demands of Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj and other Hindu organizations. After assurances from the DC regarding the fulfillment of these demands, Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj postponed his planned hunger strike and protest for a few days.However, soon after the departure of the DC and SSP, the Prasad Mafia, which operates around the temple, launched a deadly attack on Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj. Armed with deadly weapons, they attempted to assassinate him, causing severe injuries. The attackers managed to escape from the scene along with their weapons after seriously injuring him.Shri Rajinder Pal Anand has appealed to the Punjab Government and Patiala Police to arrest the culprits as soon as possible and punish them with the strictest legal action. He further stated that the attack on Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj appears to be part of a deep and well-planned conspiracy, possibly involving some influential figures in the city. Therefore, a thorough investigation should be conducted to expose all those involved in this plot.He also pointed out that, in recent times, there have been continuous attacks on Hindu leaders by gangsters and terrorists, with many leaders being assassinated. Therefore, the government must increase the security of Hindu leaders to prevent any future loss of life or property at the hands of anti-social elements, gangsters, or terrorists.The attack on Shri Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj took place despite heavy security deployed at the temple. The role of the police personnel present on duty during the attack should also be investigated and clarified to the Sanatani Hindus.
