Special Republic Day Event in Badhaal Amidst Mystery Illness Deaths

A special Republic Day celebration was organized on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Badhaal village, Rajouri district, as the community copes with the aftermath of a mysterious illness that has claimed 17 lives.

The event began with children singing the national anthem, an act that received appreciation from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhishek Sharma, who praised their enthusiasm and participation.

Addressing the gathering, DC Sharma expressed condolences to the affected families and assured them of the administration's unwavering support. He emphasized the importance of creating awareness about government welfare schemes, particularly those aimed at the tribal population.

"Our priority is to ensure that every family in Badhaal is aware of and can access the benefits of welfare schemes launched by the government," he said.

The event symbolized the administration's commitment to the welfare of the bereaved families and also served to instill national pride among the community.
