Ludhiana,College of Animal Biotechnology along with the Directorate of Extension Education,Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) organized a workshop on“Pig diseases and health management”to create awareness among progressive pig farmers of Punjab.Dr.Yashpal Singh Malik, Dean,College of Animal Biotechnology, Ludhiana highlighted the purpose behind organizing such interactive workshop for the pig farmers of the state.Lectures were delivered by Dr. Malik, Drs.Satparkash Singh, Inderpal Kaur, Anuradha Sharma and Parminder Kaur on “Emerging Health Issues in Pigs”. Addressing the teachers and students,Dr Pajni said that every year,World Nature Conservation Day is observed on July 28 to raise awareness regarding the protection of nature and its resources.The world is facing a lot of issues related to nature and its conservation.The challenges are based on climate change, urbanization,pollution,deforestation,and damage to the rich flora and fauna.She also encouraged the students to conserve the soil,water,air and energy resources.<br>
