Govt College, Amargarh Organised One Day Seminar On Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji

Amargarh Oct 29 (Amrish Anand)With the directions of Directorate Higher Education & under the guidance of Principal Prof. Meenu ji, Govt College, Amargarh organised a one day seminar on the 350th Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Prof. Kamal Kishore, Head Dept of History, GCG Malerkotla was the Resource Person on the eve. Dr. Amandeep Vatish initiated the talk with the welcome address. He also spoke on the life and bani of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Prof. Kamal Kishore elaborated on the topic in detail. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was a noble soul with exemplary qualities. He was a great humanist and the great saviour of human rights. He sacrificed his life for Hinduism and was remembered as "Hind Di Chadar". He correlated the philosophy of Sikhism with the world's prominent events & its relevance in contemporary times also. Prof. Kamaljit Singh Dept of Political Science also spoke on the eve. In his presidential address Vice Principal Dr. Tejinder Singh Sekhon spoke on the unparalleled sacrifices of Sikh Faith and advised the students to take inspiration from the message of Humanity from the Sikh Faith. He thanked Prof. Kamal Kishore for a thought provoking lecture which would be positively good for the students. Dr. Kadambari Gaso conducted the eve decently. Prof. Nazma Parveen, Prof. Tanushi Jain, Prof. Sonia Gakhar, Prof Anita, Prof Satveer Kaur, Sh. Gurdeep Singh Tiwana & other staff members were present on the occasion.
