Early Life and Education

Azad was born into a Sikh family originally from Gurdaspur, Punjab. Following the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, his family relocated from Bahadurgarh, Haryana, to Ludhiana, Punjab.
He completed his schooling in Ludhiana and went on to earn a Diploma in Gurmat Sangeet from Punjabi University, Patiala — a journey that deepened his understanding of Sikh music and philosophy.
