Patiala November 7 –The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and Geographical Society of GSSDGS Khalsa College, Patiala, successfully conducted its first Parent-Teacher Meeting of the current academic session today in a hybrid format, seamlessly integrating both online and offline modes to ensure maximum participation.The primary aim of the meeting was to provide a comprehensive overview of the students' performance, encompassing both academic achievements and co-curricular activities. The event served as a vital platform for fostering constructive dialogue between parents and faculty, aligning efforts for the holistic development of the students.A highlight of the event was a special ceremony organized to honour and recognize the position holder students who have demonstrated exemplary performance in various fields, including academics, cultural pursuits, and sports. In a proud moment for the institution and their families, these meritorious students were felicitated with trophies for their outstanding accomplishments.The proceedings commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Gorakh Singh, Head of the Department of Geography, who extended a cordial welcome to the esteemed guests, dedicated faculty members, students, and the parents.Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal of Khalsa College, Patiala, addressed the gathering. In his remarks, he emphasized the institution's commitment to providing a balanced education that nurtures both intellectual and personal growth. He applauded the students for their achievements and thanked the parents for their unwavering support and trust in the college.Mr.Rajinderpal Singh Anand, Ex. PPS Punjab and President of Punjab Police Family Welfare Association, Punjab, was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He appreciated the efforts made by the overall administration of the college and also distributed trophies among students.Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Vice Principal and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Controller Examination, also graced the occasion with their presence.Dr. Anju Khullar, Convener of the Parent-Teacher Association Committee and Head of the Department of Chemistry, also shared her insights on the importance of collaborative efforts between parents and teachers. She underscored the PTA's role as a crucial bridge between the college and the students' homes.
